Zuiderzee Museum
The Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen is about a 15-minute bike ride from our park. The best way to start your day out is on the water! Board the museum ferry at the harbor and sail to 't Zuiderzeedorp: over 140 historic buildings from the fishing villages around the former Zuiderzee. Take a look inside the fish smokehouse, the bakery, and the candy shop, and watch the blacksmith and the rope maker at work. Children can dress up in traditional costumes, sit at the school desks, or play old-fashioned Dutch games. 't Zuiderzeedorp is open from late March through late October. The indoor museum, which includes the Schepenhal, is open year-round.

A short boat ride will take you to the open-air museum. That way, your historical day trip begins right on the water.
Watch the blacksmith, the rope maker, and the sailmaker at work, and sample some freshly smoked fish at the smokehouse.
Dressing up in traditional costumes, taking an old-fashioned writing lesson at the little school, or making your own clog boat.
Explore a unique collection of historic wooden ships at the indoor museum and check out the rotating exhibitions.
