Batavialand

Step back in time at Museum Flevoland and discover how people used to live, and learn all about the climate. At the Batavia Shipyard, you can see how ships were built in the past and even try your hand at the blacksmith’s shop. During the guided tour, you’ll learn more about the “Batavia,” the VOC ship where it all began for naval hero Michiel de Ruyter and which was also used in the film of the same name.
