Enkhuizen
Enkhuizen is about a 15-minute bike ride from our park, situated exactly between the IJsselmeer and the Markermeer. During the Golden Age, this herring town boasted the largest herring fleet in the Netherlands, and within the old fortifications there are still 366 national monuments. Stroll past the charming harbors to the Drommedaris, the striking city gate dating from 1540. At the Zuiderzee Museum, you’ll step right into an old fishing village full of historic crafts. With children, you’ll enjoy an enchanting day at Sprookjeswonderland. Want to explore more history? Then be sure to visit Hoorn and Medemblik, both located very close to our park.
