PORTS, HISTORY & NOSTALGIA
Medemblik
Medemblik is the oldest town in West Friesland and is located about a 20-minute drive from our park, on the IJsselmeer. Count Floris V granted the town its charter in 1289 and had Radboud Castle built there, which still stands by the harbor. Stroll past the old warehouses on the Oosterhaven and settle down at a cozy waterfront terrace. In the mood for a day trip? Hop on the Museum Steam Tram and chug right through the West Frisian countryside to Hoorn. And on warm days, you can take a dip in the IJsselmeer at De Vooroever. Tip: at our park, you can enjoy a vacation on the Markermeer!
